I have been longing for this day for quite some time – Walmart Grocery Pickup! There are few things I hate more than going to Walmart. Years ago, I would save Walmart trips until after my midnight scrapbook events. The only problem was that they were stocking the shelves and the one thing I needed was always behind a mound of boxes. These days, I put off going to Walmart until I absolutely can no longer live without something. Today that all changed!
A couple of weeks ago I sent this photo to my friend Amy. She knows how much I hate going inside. On Friday, I was cleaning out a closet (so I could stuff my luggage back in there again) and needed space bags for extra comforters stored there. I checked websites to see where I could find the best deal since I needed several bags. When I went to Walmart.com, I saw the magical “Free Grocery Pickup” in the upper right corner. We have been gone on vacation and it was a perfect time to get my space bags and a few groceries in the house.
The process was very simple, just search and add to my cart. In the end, I had a total, which was subject to change based on my zucchini weight after it was chosen. I chose a pickup time and finished the checkout process. This was so easy! My confirmation email came and had directions to claim my groceries in the morning.
This morning I received an email that my order was ready to pick up. I had the option to call and let them know when I was on my way or to check-in with the Walmart Grocery App. Of course, I downloaded the app and checked-in. I proceeded to Walmart and was soon met by a very nice young man who loaded all of my groceries in my car for me and then gave me a welcome/thanks gift! Y’all – it was all free! No pick-up fee, no tipping the worker (it says so on the website). Everything I ordered was available, and my zucchini was less than the estimate!
They also gave me this code so that you can save $10 on your first order pick-up, and I will get $10 too if you use it. Just click here: Free $10 from Walmart Grocery Pickup
It’s on – I may never step inside Walmart again. Now Target…I will be there this week.
Happy Shopping!
